GLP pharmacokinetic (PK) and toxicology studies of SON-DP in rats and dogs were successfully completed by Charles River Laboratories, a US preclinical CRO company. The studies have demonstrated that SON-DP was well tolerated by both dogs and rats with no major treatment related adverse effects and toxicity observed in the major organs including heart, lung, liver and kidney.

Qurgen announced that the Company had successfully completed its Series A financing with $12 million USD by May 2019. The fund will be mainly used for the FDA IND application and Phase I clinical studies of SON-DP, a first-in-human and first-in-class transcription factor anti-cancer protein drug that leads to a breakthrough cell-conversion cancer therapy.

Qurgen announced the successful completion of its Pre-A round financing of $4 million USD in Sep 2016. The fund will be used to accelerate the company’s research and development, with a focus on developing Qurgen’s cell-conversion cancer therapy for a Phase I clinical trial.

Wuxi Fuent Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established as the company’s manufacturing facility and R&D research center.
