In March 2026, Qurgen announced that the blood and biopsy tissue testing results of a late-stage of uveal melanoma patient from the ongoing Qurgen clinical trial indicated the melanoma driver gene mutations were completely repaired after a 9-month SON-DP treatment. This makes the SON-DP-induced cell conversion cancer therapy the ONLY cancer therapy that is able to repair the somatic mutations of cancer driver genes.
